Part of what makes the movie so much fun is that he's clearly having such a great time.

Bavafan, great description of the movie. I guess it only works for the kids in the audience, not the adults. (ah, to be young and innocent) And to this day, Price as "Butch" is my favourite scene (although in 1973 the implications went "whooosh" over my head). This movie is the cherry on the cake that is Price's career.bavafan@hotmailnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8470604276410220159.post-32806645405766738472011-06-08T18:40:47.475-04:002011-06-08T18:40:47.475-04:00This is classically known as one of Vincent Price&...This is classically known as one of Vincent Price's favorite roles, and it shows! I don't think I've ever seen an actor have so much fun in a film as Price does in Theatre of Blood. It's called "Rave Notice", and I believe you can find it at vincentprice.org

For the Vincentennial I'm posting limericks on Price's movies over at my own Blogger blog, Limerwrecks. We're working chronologically, and are currently up to House of Wax. I envy you the ability to watch it for the first time! From the masterful set peice murders, to Vincet Price having more costume changes than Cher, to the eye candy I'd frankly liked to have seen more of, I loved it.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07364164923811747218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8470604276410220159.post-73590918048471972282011-06-07T21:07:26.710-04:002011-06-07T21:07:26.710-04:00Never heard of this one! I love this Vincent Price film, e...YES, YES, YES!!! I love this Vincent Price film, especially his portrayal of a bad ham actor. One has to be good to look so bad at it. He's wonderful. I also think Diana Rigg doesn't get enough credit for her role, here. Ian Hendry, too (he could have been Jack Carter in Mike Hodges' great and gritty GET CARTER film). Fine list for a film that deserves more appreciation. Thanks, B-Sol.le0pard13https://www.blogger.com/profile/09421175808461787862noreply@blogger.com
