Two years ago today, I sat in a cubicle at a dreary former job and decided to write about stuff that I actually enjoy. Thus was born The Vault of Horror, and now, to celebrate the second anniversary, I've recorded my first-ever solo "DVD commentary", on the movie that started it all for me as a horror fanatic--Dan O'Bannon's The Return of the Living Dead.
I hope you enjoy listening, whether below, on the Vaultcast site, or via download. I also hope you've enjoyed the past two years, as I've tried my best to make the Vault the best damn horror blog out there. Here's to many more years!
Before I tune in, I want to know, and be honest, how much of this commentary is devoted to your love for Quigley?
ReplyDeleteOnly in the appropriate places :-)
ReplyDeleteAH!..My all-time favorite zombie film!...To spite the fact it goes against my #1 pet peeve when it comes to Zombie movies, I just gotta love it anyway.
ReplyDeleteGlad I stumbled upon your awesome site. You can thank twitter! Keep up the great job and I know you will have many more years to come!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogday, B-Sol!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to my favorite horror blog! =)
ReplyDeleteTammy, Pierre and Tiffani, thank you!! You guys are great, and all fine bloggers in your own right :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary, Brian. That's 2 years of awesome content. Now only 50 more to go.
ReplyDeleteVery cool commentary, B-Sol. I just recently re-watched this movie myself. It's always as good as I remember it being.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary oh master of the macabre! Many more.
ReplyDeleteOh, I lost my invitation to the Vault of Horror reception tonight at the Plaza's ballroom, I trust there won't be any unpleasantness when I show up with my entourage. Make sure the doormen know who I am ;)
Thanks guys! Bug, I sincerely hope the Vault stays open that long! And Pax, if only the second anniversary could be commemorated in such a fashion, as opposed to the reality: Sitting in silence on my lazy boy recliner while the wife sleeps on the couch next to me. Ah, real life!
ReplyDeleteMarilyn Merlot here: Happy Blogging Anniversary. It's so surreal to see something we talked about actually come to life & we all have you to thank for that. You are great at what you do, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThank you, and I never would've been able to have gotten it off the ground without your support and inspiration back when it was nothing more than an idea.
