And John, I thought Freddy vs. Jason was a lot of fun. Not scary in the slightest, but I don't think it was meant to be. Jason X, with the exception of the awesome liquid nitrogen kill, was garbage.
Saw makes me sick. I stopped supporting it after 3 and I wish I stopped after 2. The first Saw is an amazing film. Halloween Horror Nights is also going to be Saw based this year.
Fair enough, B-Sol. I liked JASON X quite a lot, but I have a high tolerance for trash--to me, an android Jason Voorhees vs. a pretty good looking female robot fight to the death was worth the price of admission (three bucks on the used DVD rack, in my case). Plus I LOVED the virtual Crystal Lake scene and its eventual denouement with Jason slamming the holographic coed into the tree, still in her sleeping bag.
Maweanne, my sentiments exactly on the Saw series. And John, I stand corrected. The virtual Crystal Lake scene is also awesome. Hmmm, maybe its time to rewatch Jason X!
I agree, man. The first one was different and innovative. Since then, they've devolved into third-rate torture movies. I also blame Saw for the vomiting forth of such crap as Hostel and Turistas.

Are you crazy? The Saw franchise has got to be the best horror series ever!! You say you didn't like the sequels but you kept watching them all! If the second turned you against the series why watch anymore? When the latest installment is released....how long till you are lining up to go see it? If you hate it then I defy you now to never watch any of the sequels that will be released.Sooner or later you will give in as secretly you like them just like everyone else!!

Ugh, I just hate the Saw series. Why can't Hollywood make quality films anymore?
