Pierce's incredible body of work includes such films as The Man Who Laughs (1928), Dracula (1931), Frankenstein (1931), White Zombie (1932), The Mummy (1932), The Invisible Man (1933), The Black Cat (1934), Bride of Frankenstein (1935), Werewolf of London (1935), Dracula's Daughter (1936), Son of Frankenstein (1939), The Wolf Man (1941), The Mummy's Tomb (1942), Phantom of the Opera (1943) and Beauty and the Beast (1962):
Frankly, the man probably deserves to be on the Walk of Fame more than some of the actors and actresses already there. So do the right thing and add your name to the petition now!

"In order for a person to get a star on the Walk of Fame, he or she must agree to attend a presentation ceremony within five years of selection, and a $25,000 fee must be paid to the Trust for costs such as security at the star ceremony; a 2003 FOX News story noted that the fee is typically paid by sponsors such as film studios and record companies, as part of the publicity for a release with which the honoree is involved.[citation needed] On other occasions, the fee is paid by a fan club or the nominating person or organization.
That's why half the time you wonder why certain non-famous people have a star, they were nominated by a fan club and they either have to pay for the star themselves or by certain sponsorships.
I was in LA recently and discovered to my horror that Lon Chaney Jr. doesn't have a star either. The Chaney family is inviting donations for the star on their website, and I'm thinking of making a contribution. I mean hell, DAVID SPADE has a star. Sheesh.
Jack Pierce needs one too, of course.
With the Wolf Man remake coming out next year, it would be the perfect time for both Jack Pierce AND Lon Chaney Jr. to get a star!
certainly deserving of one...such a shame they have to PAY for it!
