I'm beyond psyched to be introducing one of the seminal horror-event films of the 1980s, and would be even more psyched if you would join me. So if you're anywhere near the Stamford area, I expect to see you there as I delve into the awesomeness of Craig T. Nelson, the infamous Hooper/Spielberg directorial controversy, and much more.
The Avon Theatre is located at 272 Bedford Street in Stamford, and the screening kicks off at 9pm. Special thanks to the staff for allowing yours truly to show his face once again--especially Adam Birnbaum, director of film programming. And of course, thanks as always to my murderous muse, Captain Cruella, for getting her steel-toed foot in the door and making these evenings with the Avon possible in the first place!

FEBRUARY 1ST 1988 NEVER HAPPENED.
Oh, I wish I could go but I'm very busy until New Year. :-(
Elgart, maybe you can make it down to The Thing in January, or Destroy All Monsters in March!
The last film i saw in a movie theatre (believe it or not) was "Poltergeist 3" in June of `88, it was filled with Heather O`Rourke obsessed lunatics like myself and when she appeared on screen for the first time right at the beginning of the movie an incredible hush and silence fell over the entire auditorium, it was an electrifying mo-girl-t that i will never forget. As i said for me February 1st 1988 simply does not exist on any calender anywhere in the world and it never will.
"Destroy All Monsters", that has got to be one of the most "supercool" titles of all time.
I'll be home from December 23rd til January 3rd if any screenings are in that time range.
Maweanne is a gorgeous chick.
Hey Maryanne! Unfortunately, the next Avon screening I'm doing is not until a bit later in January--and it's John Carpenter's The Thing!!
I'm also hosting Destroy All Monsters in March, as well.
