Kids, if you want a lesson in how to strike exactly the wrong tone for the movie you're trying to promote, check this out:
I'm going to write this silliness off as a minor hiccup. You may continue to color me optimistic about this film. Even after the baseball sound effect. How's that for the power of positive thinking?

Wow, I thought you were kidding. That's awful.
Wow is indeed right. The boxing bell. It really made my brain hurt. Who is that is supposed to appeal to, people who loved Paul Blart?
It's different. An awful kind of different.
Am I missing something or isn't this movie about a girl being brutally raped and assaulted before being left for dead? That promo is so wrong. I bet it gets the 14 year olds attention though.
What are guys talking about?? That trailer was fantastic! The "charge" organ was pitch perfect. And the way it gave me a multiple choice question was great! I even had time to fill in my own options in between the choices they gave me: A. Knife (Golf Club!) B. Gun (Chainsaw!) C. Garbage Disposal (Lawn Dart!) Wahoo!
Seriously though, I agree that the movie looks promising despite this ill-advised promo spot.
Well, at least the last half, ie. the violent half, was kinda cool.
Kid of looks like the studio has already given up on the film. The best sports sound byte is buried in the middle, the starting pistol! Look or a short theater run.
ooooh bad typing fingers, bad fingers. Kind of looks like... Look for a...
haha worst advertisement ever. That played more like a parody trailer you'd find on youtube.
I saw the movie last night at a free preview. It is very brutal, but very well done. It is a revenge flick that made me think back to I Spit On Your Grave. Like I said, very brutal and would be terrifying to the right (or wrong) group of people.
One thing I noticed, though, the photography, the use of short focal lengths was absolutely beautiful in about 70% of the film. But, that might be just me and the fact I take photos.
Anywho, it is a well done movie. One scene gets dragged out a bit too long that can cause great discomfort.
Glad to hear it's great--I knew this new trailer was an aberration.
Here's a great review for this movie.

Thanks for this. I can't wait to see it, sounds like we have another decent remake here, along the lines of Dawn of the Dead.
that commercial was awfullllll.
I just saw Last House on the Left today with my mom and my friend. I've seen the original quite a few times, and I was quite worried it would be totally messed up with a remake. [I'm pretty judgmental about my horror movies]
Anyways, long story short, I reallllllly liked it. I liked how it had a different twist, and how it slightly differed from the original one.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
