A J.J. Abrams Monster We May Actually Get to See?!

Hot on the heels of the release of the full Cloverfield trailer on the web yesterday, the geniuses at /FILM have posted this little gem--a slow motion breakdown of a brief glimpse of the actual monster itself which appeared during that trailer, and which you might have missed if you blinked. This is the first look we've had at the mysterious creature. Hey, it's not much, but it sure beats a big cloud of black smoke, doesn't it?

Can you make out anything from this? I think I see an arm or something. I'm surprised that someone hasn't already spoiled the shit outta this with exclusive photos of the monster and stuff... a "top secret production" rarely means anything these days.

I thought I saw an arm and part of a leg. Seems like some kinda rock-like dinosaur thing. Rumor is its some kind of giant squid or something, like Cthulhu. I give em credit for keeping it under wraps as well as they have.

I can see an arm and a leg and yes it does look like some kind of dinosaur. Is it's mouth open? Looks ready to munch someone to my mind.

I love a good creature feature but must remember never to watch the 'making of' it almost spoiled AVP for me. I don't want to think of it as a man in a rubber suit OK. *grins*

LOL Guess you must not be a big Godzilla fan then, Dove.

Anyways, I only wish this was a man in a suit. I'm sure it's all being done with CGI.

Haha, I do like Godzilla but I know the early versions were pretty well...rubbery. But still even those have their own charm.
